Here is a list of my favorite organizations that accept donations of goods and clothing.  
Make sure you keep an inventory of what you donate and get a receipt - you may be able
to take a tax deduction.

Amvets Thrift Centers - Pick-up or drop off, whichever is more convenient for you.

Everywoman Opportunity Center - Helping women enter the workforce.  Accept women's
clothing and accessories.

Goodwill Industries of WNY, Inc. - The Goodwill accepts donations of many types of items.  
Check here for their
current list of accepted donations.

Habitat for Humanity, Buffalo, NY - Looking to donate an old but working car or volunteer
some time to help build a home?  Then check out the
donations accepted here.
Habitat for Humanity sells quality new and used furniture, appliances and other items
through their retail outline named
Restore.  Items are offered at a discounted price -
helping the environment by keeping items OUT of our landfills.

International Institute of Buffalo - Helping immigrants and refugees become self-sufficient,
active members of our community.  
Donations gladly accepted.

Journey's End Refugee Services, Inc. - Helping refugees  become contributing members of
our community.  
Donations of many types are accepted.

Salvation Army of Buffalo, NY - You can donate clothing, appliances and many household
items.  Call to
schedule a pick-up.    Valuation guides can be found here.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Accepting donation of clothing, books, appliances, and
more.  Check out their
current list of donations accepted.

Vive La Casa Refugee Shelter - Helping refugees seeking asylum.  Donations of food and
other items are gladly accepted.
